Hello darlings! I'm Aminah Mae Safi—the award-winning author of four novels, including Tell Me How You Really Feel and Travelers Along The Way, and the award-winning short story, “Be Cool, For Once.”

I’ve got a love of old movies, comics, and storytelling. I’ve contributed writing to Salon, PubCrawl, and Bustle.

I narrated the audiobook for Tell Me How You Really Feel as well as the short story, “Be Cool, For Once.” You can also catch my voice in the interstitial sections of This Is All Your Fault.

I've taught writing in community settings, conferences, and universities. I'm currently regular visiting faculty in the low-residency MFA program at Antioch University in L.A and an instructor at the UCLA Extensions Creative Writing department.

My official bio can be found here and my official headshot can be found here.
